Coaching For All Levels of Study
For advanced or competitive students, our teachers have the education, experience, and ability to assist in high-level activities like audition preparation, continuation of lessons while temporarily away from a permanent teacher, and further talent development. Dr. Anne Marie and Dr. Frank Kuhny have helped students achieve their dreams in terms of competitions and auditions. “Your goal is my goal” is a frequently-heard saying at DuPage Musical Arts Academy. Our teachers are thrilled to help students in their musical endeavors at the highest level.
Our teachers are also very adept at online lessons, teaching and coaching students from long distances successfully.
Audition and Competition Preparation:
Are you preparing for university auditions or for a competition? It is imperative that you optimize your repertoire selection and performance, and both of our teachers are experienced at helping pianists do so. Also, studying with a professor before college will help you with the demands of a university or conservatory professor.
It is vital to prepare for auditions with a teacher who understands the audition process and can perform all the repertoire that you want to study. Our professors can play anything, even the most difficult pieces! Both of our teachers hold a Doctorate in Piano Performance, studying with Dr. Ian Hobson. His studio is one of the most competitive in the world, with most students coming from overseas.
To date, both of our teachers have auditioned at major music schools and conservatories around the country and are very familiar with what is required. They can help you “navigate the waters” in terms of preparing your pieces, understanding what schools will expect, and the best choice of university, college, or conservatory.

Coaching While A Full-Time Teacher is Away or Unavailable:
Are you away from school or unable to have lessons with your primary teacher? Our teachers are available to help coach students, particularly when lessons are otherwise unavailable. Their goal is to help you continue your success and achieve goals in combination with your current teacher.
Coaching is available both in person and online. We can help your student continue his or her musical growth, particularly if preparing for a recital, competition, or jury.
